Evan Santo
I have been competing in triathlons for over three years. Over the years I have gained an appreciation for the sport and the dedication required to excel in the sport.
Inspite of this love for triathlon I decided to serve a full time, two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Berlin, Germany area.
At a very young age my parents started teaching me to swim. They feared I would drown in the pool in our backyard. I did just the opposite. My summers were filled with swimming. Countless hours day after day were spent in the pool. My mom says, "I think you got your endurance because you were always in the pool and never got out unless it was a good reason."  I joined a competitve swim team when I was 12 years old. When I joined my high school swim team my coach could see my potential. I started taking personal swim lessons with Heath Thurston. It was because of Heath I was introduced to triathlon. He inspired me and I want to be just like him.  After my first triathlon I knew I had a passion for it. It is my goal to contiunely get stronger and stronger.
